When Royal Copenhagen Porcelain took over the Anton Michelsen silver company in 1968, designers from both disciplines were encouraged to collaborate (see profile). The cast porcelain is shaped as a fish, more specifically the Plaice, which is Denmark's favourite fresh fish. It has been hand decorated with gold and dark grey (rather than the usual red) spots.
