Here is a highly original creation by Bent Grabrielsen Pedersen for the master of modernist design, Karl Gustav Hansen of Hans Hansen.(see bio).  Bent was hired in 1953, straight from the Goldsmith's college, and designed practically all of Hans Hansen's jewellery from then until 1969.  This georgeous Sterling silver choker has 5 links, each with an integral mini-pendant which is decorated with black enamel.

Condition: Excellent, no visible damage, toggle closure

Marks:  Hans Hansen (script) 925S Denmark, 317 E (stands for Enamel).  I have seen these black sections described as black onyx, but this is incorrect. A recently discovered catalogue price list from the period spells it out as enamel, and the price (wholesale?) was D.kr 88 ( just over £10).

Size: Length is 38 cm (15")

Year:  1960
