Here is an extremely rare and striking Sterling silver necklace by the Danish silversmith Palled Bisgaard, whose studio was based in a hamlet outside Roskilde from the 1950s to 2000.  He is most famous for working with abalone, and may ahve inspired his colleague, Arne Johansen, who lived close by, to do the same. The pendant, which is almost cuboid, is quite substantial, and is coated with abalone both front and back. It hangs from an integral paperclip chain

Size:  The pendant weighs 23 gms, is 2 cm (1.8") square  and 1.2 cmn (0.5") deep. The chain section is 64 cm ( 25") long + bale.
