Here is a fabulous bronze pendant which resulted from the artistic collaboration between Else Berntsen and Paul Hughes. Having met as students in London, the couple set up a studio in Norway in 1959 and, rejecting the prevailing sleek Nordic designs, they were inspired by more primitive almost tribal motifs which they produced using the lost wax casting technique and increasingly in bronze in the 1970s. Includes chain. See catalogue page photo.
