Here is a wonderful Sterling silver ring designed by Henning Koppel for arguably the world's leading silversmithy Georg Jensen. Koppel, was working in Sweden making pewter jewellery when, in 1945 he was spotted by someone from Georg Jensen, who asked him to design for them. His innovative modernist biomorphic designs, sculptural, organic and abstract, revolutionalised ideas about jewellery and became icons for Danish Modern in the 1950s. He was a prolific designer, branching out into hollowware and flatware, and created over 200 designs for Georg Jensen, right up to his death in 1982.
