In 1953 The Danish silversmith Eggert was inspired to create moulds from the herbs and flowers of his garden and turn these into enchanting pieces of jewellery by layering the silver base with 18 ct gold. The parsley has probably been the company's most enduringly popular range, with millions of sprigs of parsley transformed into brooches, pendants, earrings etc - each one is different. The bale is plain silver, so the pendant is supplied with a silver necklace.
