Here is a pair of strictly simple silver cufflinks in the Art Deco style. The edges are graduated, reminiscient of the Pyramid design of Georg Jensen's 1926 flatware as well as countless Art Deco architectural interiors. They were made by the Danish silversmith Hans Jensen, whose workshop in Copenhagen was registered from 1899 to 1937.  The oval backs feature a raised central oval. The flat fronts are well suited to the engraving a a personal monogram.

Here is a wonderful and unusual pair of Sterling silver cufflinks by Norway's leading silversmith David-Andersen. The company launched a series called ' Saga' in the 1960s. These items took their inspiration from prehistoric finds from the year AD 300 to 1000, later deposited with the Oslo historical museum.  The motif on these cufflinks is coped from an object dated to the Norwegian Iron Age, around 500AD.

Here is a pair of deceptively simple, timeless cufflinks designed by Henry Pilstrup for Georg Jensen.   These cufflinks  were probably designed in the 1930s, going by the number 54,  in the strict Functionalist style,  with a double layer of silver, on both the fronts and the backs,  oxidised along the edge, as the only decoration.

Here is a fabulous pair of  Sterling silver cufflinks by the distinguished silversmith Ola Gorie, based on the Scottish northern islands of Orkney (see bio).   The  cross motif stems from the Broch of Burrian,  North Ronaldsay, the most remote of the islands, suggesting the presence of Celtic Christianity amidst Pictish culture. It is engraved on a a large stone slab, found in 1870. With Ola Gorie box.

These items took their inspiration from prehistoric finds from the year AD 300 to 1000, later deposited with the Oslo historical museum. The motif on these rectangular cufflinks, a celtic knot pattern, is based on a archeological find at Oseberg, around 850 AD, as stated on the rear of the cufflinks.
