Here is a fabulous modernist Sterling silver set of pendant with matching earrings. The stones are, I believe, Nephrite jade, with dark cabochons on the pendant and light cabochons on the earrings. Both items were hallmarked in the same year, with Irish hallmarks.  I can substitute the screws on the earrings with hooks for pierced ears. Please request on order form.

Here is a lovely Sterling silver set is by the British company Kit Heath. The design of these matching Sterling silver pendant and earrings for pierced ears is in the style of the Scottish Art Nouveau architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh.  The strict geometric lines are softened by the circle and oval onyx near the base. Supplied in a Mackintosh inspired box.

Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Plaice pendant + chain

When Royal Copenhagen Porcelain took over the Anton Michelsen silver company in 1968, designers from both disciplines were encouraged to collaborate (see profile). Here is a fabulous pendant by the artistic director of the Aluminia Fajence division of Royal Copenhagen, Niels Thorsson. The cast porcelain is shaped as a fish, more specifically the Plaice, which is Denmark's favourite fresh fish. It has been hand decorated with gold and dark grey (rather than the usual red) spots.

Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica pendant

Here is a beautiful Art Nouveau (Skønvirke) pendant  It is by the leading Danish silversmithy Georg Jensen, who for the past 25 years have issued an Annual Heritage Jewellery Collection. The motif is always taken from the design archive. The one for 1998 is an exact copy of a link in a necklace, no.8, probably designed in the first year of operations, 1904.  It is supplied with a nice chain (not original).

Georg Jensen Malinowski kneeling deer necklace no.95

Here is one of the most perenially popular designs by the leading Danish silversmith, Georg Jensen. It was designed by Arno Malinowski, who worked with the company from 1936 to 1976, and created most of the endearing figurative motifs in the Art Deco style which characterised Jensen's output in mid 20th century prior to abstract modernism.  Usually seen in the form of a brooch (no.256) , this version as a necklace is quite rare.

Georg Jensen Malinowski cockeral necklace no.96

Arno Malinowski was one of the most versatile and successful designers who ever worked for the Georg Jensen Silver smithy. He designed for Georg Jensen from 1936 to 1944, and again from 1949 to 1965. Most Jensen lovers are familiar with his Art Deco stylised animal broochs such as the kneeling deer, the two dolphins , the butterflies and the chubby birds. The cockerel brooch (item 502) is rarely seen on the resale market and the necklace version is rarer still.

Hans Hansen Sterling necklace 317E

Here is a highly original creation by Bent Grabrielsen Pedersen for the master of modernist design, Karl Gustav Hansen of Hans Hansen.(see bio).  Bent was hired in 1953, straight from the Goldsmith's college, and designed practically all of Hans Hansen's jewellery from then until 1969.  This georgeous Sterling silver choker has 5 links, each with an integral mini-pendant which is decorated with black enamel.
