Here is a fabulous, hardly worn, Sterling silver ring with a large amber cabochon. It was made in Denmark, but the maker's mark is unclear. My guess from the outline is Henning Ulrichsen. 

Condition: Excellent, no visible damage. FLAWLESS surface of amber points to little or no use.
