Here is one of Georg Jensen's most loved brooches, featuring two butterflies amongst flowers. It was created in 1942 by Arno Malinowski in the Art Deco style, and was in the Jensen catalogue for over half a century.
Arno Malinowski was one of the most versatile designers who ever worked for the Georg Jensen Silver smithy. He was associated with the smithy from 1936 to 1944, and again from 1949 to 1965, creating designs for jewellery and hollowware. His kneeling deer, dolphins, birds and butterflies defined a generation. He was also a succesful sculptor, ceramist, engraver and medalist..
