Here is an outstanding gilt Sterling brooch with a modernist abstract guilloche enamel design. It was made by the highly original Norwegian silversmith Øystein Balle, who worked in Stavanger from 1964. The detailed guilloche patterning on the irregular rectangular brooch underlines the application of blue, white and red enamel, the latter two in reief.
