Mogens Bjørn Andersen was born in 1911 and died in 2014 as the last member of the innovative generation of silversmiths who qualified in the 1930s. A contemporary of Hans Hansen, Mogens Bjørn Andersen was apprenticed to Georg Jensen, graduating in 1934. He concentrated on the design and production of hollowware and individual commissions for church silver and jewellery. This ring is one-of-a-kind, made for me in 1997 when I visited him in his studio on the island of Bornholm. I have been reluctant to part with it, even though I have long outgrown it, but as the saying goes - it is time for someone else to enjoy it.
