Here is a perenially popular design inspired by the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Glasgow architect/designer whose work was admired by the Vienna Secessionists, but not recognised in the UK in his own lifetime. These lovely drop earrings with posts for pierced ears were made in two sections, with a stylised petal linked to the grid section below, allowing this to swing freely. They were designed and made by the Glasgow silversmith, Carrick Jewellery Ltd.
